اس شعر میں غضب کا چونچال ہے۔ یہی چونچال اردو غزل کی روایت کا خاصہ ہے۔ آنکھیں دکھانا ذو معنی ہے۔ ایک معنی تو یہ ہے کہ صرف آنکھیں دکھاتے ہو یعنی محض آنکھوں کا نظارہ کراتے ہو۔ دوسرا معنی یہ کہ صرف غصہ کرتے ہو کیونکہ آنکھیں دکھانا محاورہ ہے اور اس کے کئی معنی ہیں جیسے گھور کر دیکھنا، ناراضگی کی نظر سے دیکھنا، گھرکی دینا، اشارہ و کنایہ کرنا، آنکھوں ہی آنکھوں میں باتیں کرنا۔ مگر شعر میں جو طنزیہ پیرایہ دکھائی دیتا ہے اس کی مناسبت سے آنکھیں دکھانے کو گھرکی دینے یعنی غصے سے دیکھنے سے ہی تعبیر کیا جانا چاہیے۔
